20th April 2026: Gen Alpha, AI and us: A teacher educator's guide to what's next.
TTEdSIG invites trainers and teacher educators from around the world to a day filled with engaging talks on AI related trends. As teacher educators we are assisting new teachers or teachers in training who support learners of multiple ages resulting in impact for more than one generation of education candidates.
This year’s PCE will feature prominent members of our ELT community with a remarkable line of speakers who will share their knowledge, experience and thoughts with the audience and ask topical questions. As AI becomes more mainstream, how are we using AI in education? How are our teachers and trainees using AI? What are the opportunities and the boundaries with this tech?
This PCE day will take a closer look at how we can effectively incorporate tech in our teacher educator programmes, how our teachers who are learning to teach cope with the tech plus how the end user, the learners themselves, are using tech to support their learning. Ultimately we will also explore what digital wellbeing is and what it means to us as well as how we can ensure we have sustainable digital habits.
With several interactive sessions from different perspectives we hope today will be a space for discussions and learnings in how we can support educators to integrate tech without the overwhelm or danger that often overshadows tech conversations.
